Multimedia Archive

caribana-imageThe multimedia digital archive is a collection of audio and video resources documenting street theatre and the carnival arts. Materials include hard to find footage of Toronto’s Caribana festival (and its Kings and Queens event), Toronto Pride Parade, the FTAA protests, selected interviews with celebrated carnival arts practitioners, and experimental VR (Virtual Reality) performances staged within digitally reproduced historical performance sites, such as ancient temples.

The digital archive platform is currently being upgraded, and the full collection will not be available until later in 2015 after redevelopment is complete and the resources have been migrated.
